Yes...lol my two shots...erm...playing too many WR i think. I am still embarrassed about it. I placed the white on the top cushion instead of the 'D'. Won the frame and match from that visit. Me and John both never realised and it was only after the game when Biscuit (Lee Driscoll) and a couple of Johns teammates pointed out what i had done did either of us notice. From the position i was in i would have wanted shooting not to have cleared up even with the white in the'D'. John played well but got no luck.

Very tough group Boo with Stevey G, John Gaskell and Josh Cornwell, but there are no such things as easy ones at this stage. Just easier ones. Look at Triggs group. Mick Butty, Trigg, Kobryn and Joe Byrne.

To the official Bury and District Pool League website
The League has been established since 1975, and is one of the oldest pool leagues in the country. Its also claimed that it has one of the largest number of teams.
Please sign up (its free and only takes a few minutes), to gain access to all the member restricted areas.
Please note: When signing up, your account will be verified by an admin before you will be able to actually sign in to the site. This can take anytime from a few minutes to a day or so (depending on where we are!). Sorry for the inconveneince, but we have to stop spam accounts being set up.

THE ALEX PEARSON TROPHY
Event taking place on SUNDAY 11th April at Swinton Leisure Centre from 12.30pm onwards.....
Format - Straight K.O. with 5 man teams playing best of 7......2 singles then 2 dutch doubles,followed by the remaining 3 singles. Matches to cease when 4 frames are achieved.
Cost - £25 per team ( £5 per player ) Teams may have more than 5 players if you so wish, however cost still £25 team.
Rules - Played to current Radcliffe League rules.
Target - 24 teams with first 16 knocked out having the option to pay £10 to go into the Supplementary Cup.
Fund Target - To raise at least £500 towards a very worthy cause.
Important Note- Please note there will be NO cash prizes in either competition.Every single penny raised will go to Alex.
Please enter your team in the spirit of the event.
Sponsorships - The main trophy is being sponsored by David Spencer, Owner Swinton Leisure Centre.Please can all teams that enter try to obtain some sort of donation from your landlord / venue......bottles of spirits / wine will do very nicely.
Side Events - During the day there will also be namecards / Speed Pool / 15-1 / Raffles.
To Enter - Please contact me on 07877 570424 or PM me on this site with your team name / team contact. I will also have application forms available.From the feedback I have had so far I would suggest that places will go very quickly so I will have to go on first come basis, to a maximum of 24 teams. ( I am TIMEBANDIT1 on here )

Bury League Registration
Can any team wishing to enter the league and hasn't already done so please contact Craig or Julie ASAP.The league is officially full but we are trying to form an extra division to accommodate the late comers.
